Holiday Outfits - Spain

Monday, 21 August 2017

Hi Everyone.. I have finally got round to putting up a blog post on some of my holiday outfits as I got questions when I shared them over on my instagram, so I felt it was easier to do a blog post and link everything that is still available. As you will probably know by now if you follow me on instagram I love fashion so doing a blog post like this is one of my favourites to do. I got most of my outfits the week before I went and everything came together once I paired it with accessories and items I had already at home. These are just some of my holiday outfits I obviously didn't take pictures every night and some evenings I went more casual but I did enjoy dressing up too when I got the chance!

First up was this red playsuit/dress from iclothing. I picked this recently from iclothing with my holiday in mind which they kindly sent me. What I loved about this dress was the fact that its open at the front but because theres shorts underneath it gave it a different take on a normal dress. I feel this suits lots of ages as it's short at the front worn almost like a playsuit but with the longer dress detail it also gives it an elegant look without showing too much. The tie detail at the waist clinches in your waist too to make it more flattering. I must say I loved this dress and felt very comfortable in it, it was also light and floaty which was perfect for the heatwave that was sweeping across Europe at the time - 30 degrees still even at ten or eleven at night!!

I got this embroidered dress in Zara the week before my holidays and it was in the sale for wait for it - reduced to just €15 so obviously I nabbed it at that price. It was the embroidered detail that caught my eye, now the material on this was quiet heavy and the elastic across the shoulders wasn't the most comfortable it was abit too tight, but at times in the name of fashion you have to suffer on!! I still liked it on and really liked the detail as I said. The sandals were a bargain from penneys for just €10 and are so comfortable. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be on the Zara website anymore and for that price I'm not surprised.

Double trouble!!

I loved the embroidered detail on this dress....

This yellow swing dress is probably one of my favourite dresses I wore. I just think its a perfect outfit for a holiday, I felt so comfortable in this dress on the night which I think is so important in your outfit choices. I bought this from Asos again in the week before I went and was so glad I bought it. I paired it with some gold sandals and this clutch from penneys.

I was after a embroidered skirt for ages especially after seeing the gorgeous ones Zara had in so when I spotted this Veromoda one in the Lipsy sale I took a chance with sizing and ordered it. I got mine from the Lipsy site as I said which sells a range of different brands now. The top was €10 in penneys.

Firstly we'll just try and ignore the jelly beans, protein shake and cereal bars in the background haha! I got a good few questions about this dress when I wore it again it was kindly sent to me from iclothing. This dress I felt good in on the night, its light, feminine and I just loved the frill detail on the sleeves even himself liked this one which - the fact he even noticed - it must be a nice dress!! The one thing I will say about this dress is if your big chested you might need a good strapless bra underneath for support as it is low at the front.

My shoes are from H&M which went with so many outfits I got them in the sale also for just €22.

Next up is this jumpsuit I picked up in Zara now this outfit was comfy on and even though its a jumpsuit its very easy to get on and off and not restricting like some jumpsuits can be. If I'm been honest when I looked through my photos after of this outfit there was very few pictures I loved or even liked and in hindsight it was a tad too short for me. But on the plus I loved the colour and again the ruffle detail at the shoulders. I paired it with this colourful bag which I picked up reduced to just €5 in Dunnes for that price its a nice little holiday bag and will go with lots of outfits with the pop of colours going through it and it has some cute little pom poms on the zip.

I had originally brought two white dresses with me on holidays as the second hotel we stayed in has a night called 'The white night of La Cala' where everyone can dress up in white and have dinner and music at a little cove nearby. But unfortunately we left it too late to book tickets so it was sold out, but I still decided to wear one of the dresses of an evening and wore it to dinner instead. It was quiet a dressy outfit but I just thought why not get the wear out of it regardless of missing out on the beach dinner. The dress is from Asos and I paired it with sandals from New Look which are definitely just car to dinner shoes(ouch)!!

The bag I bought online which is obviously a dupe of the ChloƩ Nile designer bag. I think you would agree even though its not the real deal its a pretty good dupe if I do say so myself! It comes in black, cream, rose and this nude bag with gold hardware and a detachable strap which I've taken off here in this photo. I used this bag alot of evenings on holidays and will continue to do so over the coming months which you'll see over on my instagram.

This beautiful necklace was a gift from a lady based in Cork called Chiara Hayes who kindly gifted me one of her gorgeous pieces. I love this necklace and no doubt you'll be seeing it in numerous outfit posts to come! This necklace from what I gather is out of stock but is due back in again in the meantime I will link her website below if you want to see some other items from her.

And lastly another one of my favourites that I wore. I loved this dress on it was comfortable and I felt the colour and print were perfect for my holidays. This dress was slightly long on me so I just added a belt and tucked up some of the dress so it didn't drape along the ground or more importantly so I didn't trip and make a fool of myself!! As I said I added a gold belt I had at home, the clutch from penneys and the H&M shoes I ended up wearing with most outfits. Unfortunately I just went to link this dress and it seems to be sold out but always keep an eye out as they can come back into stock.

Green and gold will always be one of my favourite combinations....

So thats a little round up of some of my holiday outfits which I hope you enjoyed looking at, and thank you for all the lovely comments and likes along the way. I didn't get dressed up every evening but I will say obviously I keep my business private and my page positive but I haven't been feeling well the past few months with my stomach and my own health so I vowed going on holidays to make myself feel better I would relax (which I did all day long) and dress up to feel good in myself and make the most of the holiday which I tried to do most evenings. If something makes you feel better - just do it!!
