Dublin...

Thursday, 24 March 2016

I went to Dublin during the week and here's a little blog post on my visit. We stayed in the Beacon Hotel about a 5-10 min drive from Dundrum shopping centre which was a perfect location for a spot of shopping. The hotel is a boutique hotel which meant the decor was quite quirky. I first stayed here about 8 years ago and the hotel still looks as lovely and unique with a few minor changes. The rooms also have a touch of quirkiness and a nice touch were the little products in the bathroom from The White Company. Staff were friendly and welcoming during our visit.

As you can see the decor is definitely quirky....

The hotel reception area had what I can only describe as a big type bed used as a seating area complete with pillows...

The hotel has a Thai restaurant and a varied drinks menu especially the cocktail menu.

I managed to fit in a trip to IKEA but got more ideas than actual purchases on the day. My favourite items were this ladder idea with lights and the dresser.

With a lot of walking and shopping happening I lived in my Nike theas paired here with penneys jeans these jeans are so comfortable. They are the super stretch skinny jeans from penneys only €13 I pick up a pair every now and again and must own about 6 pairs I highly recommend them for comfort.

So here are some of my purchases. I went abit mad in BT2 in the Charlotte Tilbury section. I was excited to get my hands on some products as their not available in Cork yet. The packaging is just gorgeous and what you would expect from a high end brand. I've yet to try these products but plan on doing a separate blog post once I've tried them to let you know if their worth the hype.

I jumped on the bomber trend and picked up this khaki bomber from River Island. It was €60 and also comes in black.

I picked up this tassel jacket in penneys for €25 aswell as the necklace for €10.

Shoe love! For me so far this year penneys shoes are so on trend they are hard to resist. All these were €19 each. All I need now is some nice weather to wear them. I will be posting some more pictures over the next few days on my Instagram of some other purchases I made and I plan on doing some make up review posts on the high end brands like Charlotte Tilbury and more affordable products I picked up in boots. And lastly if your visiting Dundrum we had food in a lovely restaurant in the shopping centre called Douglas & Kaldi. If you have any questions about this post leave a comment here or on my Instagram. Thanks for reading.
