Just thought I would do a quick blog post on some of my current favourite beauty buys.
First up is a Lancôme product that I purchased in my local Pharmacy. This product is part of the Énergie de Vie range which recently launched in most Pharmacies. This one is the smoothing and glow boosting liquid care for all skin types even sensitive skin. It is made up of two plant extracts Goji Berry and Lemon Balm. This product claims to leave your skin feeling energised, refined looking texture, healthy glow and renewed bounce. You can apply it both in the morning and at night. Firstly I loved the packaging it comes across as fresh and natural almost has a 'nature' feel to it especially when it mentions Goji berries and lemon balm. I've used this both in the mornings and at night and it has given my skin a fresh clean feel when applied I've also found it good as a make up base before applying my make up in the mornings. It's available in boots, debenhams and most pharmacies.
As its that time of the year again where your baring more skin I've been using tan to give me that healthy glow without damaging my skin in the sun. I don't fake tan every week or even every month but when I do I always use these Cocoa Brown application gloves under my tanning mitt. I always find that with most mitts the tan can seep through and stain your hands when applying the tan. I leave the gloves on until I'm finishing with my hands and lightly run a mitt over my hands once the gloves are removed. For anyone that finds their hands staining during tanning I recommend picking up these gloves. I get mine in penneys five pairs for €3.50.
I recently ran out of my everyday Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation so went back to using my Estée Lauder doubler wear foundation. My shade in this is Tawny. This shade is quiet dark but I prefer it when I've tanned or for evening wear. I would recommend this foundation if you have oily skin or if you want a foundation to last most of the day. It's the only foundation that I've found to last the longest on my skin and it gives a good coverage. I'm not going to say it lasts all day on the skin as everyone's skin is different but out of all the foundations I've tried this one personally on my skin has been the best I've tried for staying on my face after a few hours. I'm also loving these very affordable concealers from Collection in the shades fair (for under my eyes) and shade 2 in cool medium for coving any blemishes. These concealers have quiet a thick formula so I don't think I'd recommend them if your skin was very dry but overall I find for the price they give good coverage to my skin.
I love this little compact from L'Oréal the blush sculpt in number 101. I've been using this as my blush and highlight on a daily basis. Also pictured is the compact from Rimmel from the Kate collection in shade 002 Coral glow but I must admit out of the two I've been using the L'Oréal one more. But again very budget friendly and nearly always on offer in boots.
How did I ever manage without this! I got this free recently in a magazine and had previously never tried a setting gel for my brows so wasn't really expecting much with this at all but I've been converted! I love this product I'm currently trying to grow my brows so they are by no way 'groomed' looking but after applying the Anastasia brow pencil I apply this gel and it sets my brows and makes them look abit more respectable! I was always dubious of primers, setting sprays and gels like this I thought they were just 'hype' but I've recently been watching make up tutorials on YouTube and it has changed my mindset on products like this. It's the first time I've used a gel on my eyebrows so I've no other brand to compare it too but so far I love this one.
