Happy Sunday! Do you want to know a secret?? I think I might just have a new favourite shop - shock horror - even more so than penneys ;-) As most of you probably know by now Homesense recently opened up stores in both Cork and Dublin. I wasn't initially drawn to going in but had time recently when I was shopping so I decided to wander in and see what the fuss was about. On initial first impressions it was a good one - different to Tkmaxx in the fact it has no clothes which I prefer as I much prefer the interior side of things, it has unusual items, it was organised and I felt had great home ideas aswell as quirky gift ideas. So instead of me rambling on I will show you what caught my eye over a few visits. Starting with above I loved these cups with the quirky slogans maybe it's just my sense of humour but I found them amusing especially the top two...
Staying with the cups I think with Christmas fast approaching it's no harm to be thinking about gift ideas and stocking fillers and I think gifts like these are perfect and they won't break the bank either.
Quirky gift ideas...
'Hipster and proud of it'
Next up some couches and chairs caught my idea. The thing with homesense is that they have one off pieces that you might not see elsewhere and they might only have one or two of each item in stock. This is definitely an eye catcher.
I thought this chair would be nice as a vanity chair, I also loved this cushion.
Now these would not be to everyones taste but theres's no denying their fun. Again styled right maybe beside a wardrobe or full length mirror or even in the corner of a room.
I loved the size of this chair possibly for maybe a big hallway styled with nice cushions..
I loved this cushion too with the aztec print and pop of mustard it also comes in pink and orange which you can see a pop of at the bottom of this picture. This would look lovely on either a bed or a couch.
I thought these cases were fab for maybe a child's bedroom to decorate an empty corner of a bedroom or playroom and the fact you could store toys or clothes in them is a plus. They have so many of these available in different sizes and styles.
Again more storage ideas not just for a child's bedroom but living area, for laundry, storing toys etc and of course I loved the star print one. The basket ones would even be fab in a living room with throws in it with maybe a pom pom throw resting out over the basket as a cosy feature.
This cushion also caught my eye for a child's bedroom. Not only is the star print cute but also what it stands for 'Dream big little one' a lovely item to have in your child's bedroom I feel...
Moving onto stationary they have so many different styles and quotes on their stationary including the above..
You sure do...!!
Some card ideas...
'Not all you wander are lost'... Again so many storage boxes in store including ones with quotes, marble, gold you name it.
Make up bag or pencil case for college or again as a stocking filler/gift idea for Christmas etc
For a bathroom I thought this was a great idea to hang towels on.
Moving onto wall art and prints how fab are all of these. I think on their own or paired together on one wall they would look lovely. Again they have so many prints of all different sizes and prices.
As I said on my instagram when I recently posted this frame - who doesn't need a little 'cheese' every now and again - I loved this... I would place this up against the wall rather than hang it maybe by one of the above stools or by a bed.
Their food and sweet section is also worth checking out.
With the month thats in it and with Halloween approaching they have some nice decor in, I especially love the glass pumpkins I picked up some for my own house from Tkmaxx a few years ago.
Halloween decor and ornaments..
Autumnal tones...
And lastly moving onto some quirky candles..
I picked up this candle in there from this works I've seen alot about this brand and how the sprays are good for getting a good nights sleep although I sleep quiet well my problem is waking back up!! But still I decided to try out this candle which was €16.99.
So that's a wrap of some of the many items that caught my eye recently and I will be popping in more often especially to see what will be coming in for Christmas so keep an eye over on my instagram if you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading.
